<br />" ~,$' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999-2000 <br />WA TERMAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13899, adopted May 22, 2000, <br /> <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999-2000 Watermain Replacement <br /> <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fermin Sierra Construction, Inc. of Union City, California is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Fermin Sierra Construction, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Pacific Underground Construction, Inc. in the amount of One <br /> <br />Million Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Five Hundred Seventy and No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($1,570,570.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />June 14, 2000 for the 1999-2000 Watermain Replacement Project, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />Reso-917 <br />f/sh/sh/RC/Council <br />FXS:rg <br />06/15/00 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />.~T <br />
