¿'A-\\ ATTACHMENT I The Redevelopment budget numbers are displayed on pages 101 and 103 of the Proposed City Budget for 2000/01. In the process of preparing the Redevelopment Budget, a number of errors were discovered in the draft City budget. The Redevelopment budget numbers as they will appear in the Final City Budget (on pages 101 and 103) are displayed below: Redevelopment housing Fund (806) Resources Allocated 2000-01 Employee Costs 300,148 Supplies/services 3,034,632 Internal Services 41,354 Capital 28,300 Total 3,404,434 You will note that the total expenditures in 2000-01 City budget are reported as $3,404,434, while the Redevelopment Budget shows total expenditures as $3,689,256. The difference is due to the treatment of the debt service payment of $284,822. In this Redevelopment budget the bond debt service is treated as expenditure. In the City budget it is a fund transfer and is not shown as an expenditure. Redevelopment General Fund (807) Resources Allocated 2000-01 Employee Costs 406,082 Supplies/services 1,498,794 Internal Services 30,597 Capital 5,000 Total 1,940,473 In this case the City budget and Agency budget numbers differ in two respects. As with fund 806, the debt service is treated as a fund transfer in the City budget, not an expenditure. In addition, the City budget deals with major capital items separately from the balance of the budget and so the allocation for Downtown Structure Parking is shown under capital rather than being reflected on page 103.
