<br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />June 26, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Final Acceptance - Reimbursement Agreement for Relocating WorldCom Network <br />Services, Inc. for the Jefferson Avenue Underpass Project <br />Engineering File No. 1602-05 <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Accept the Relocation of WorldCom Network Services, Inc. Cable System as part of <br />the Jefferson Avenue Project. <br /> <br />Background <br />On February 26, 1996, by Resolution No. 12703, the City Council approved a <br />Reimbursement Agreement relocating WorldCom Network Services, Inc. due to the <br />construction of the Jefferson Avenue Underpass Project. <br /> <br />The work has been satisfactorily completed in two phases and accepted by the <br />Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board and staff. WorldCom Network Services, Inc. <br />have submitted a detailed invoice to the City for $18,405.72, which has been reviewed <br />and approved. The original estimate was $59,540.04; the savings was due to a better <br />coordination with the fiber optic companies. <br /> <br />This agreement was one of three separate Reimbursement Agreements executed with <br />fiber optic companies.
