REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> July 10, 2000 <br /> Subject <br /> Pipeline Crossing Agreements with Union Pacific Railroad Company <br /> Engineering File No. 805-03 <br /> Recommendation <br /> 1. Adopt a resolution approving and authorizing execution of agreement befinieen the <br /> Union Pacific Railroad Company and the City of Redwood City, permitting Redwood <br /> City to enter their property to maintain the underground 6-inch flood water pipeline <br /> crossing. <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution approving and authorizing execution of agreement befinreen the <br /> Union Pacific Railroad Company and the City of Redwood City, permitting Redwood <br /> City to enter their property to maintain the underground 24-inch storm water pipeline <br /> crossing. <br /> Background <br /> Pacific Shores Development LLC, (located at the end of Seaport Boulevard) will be <br /> constructing a storm drain pump station, and storm drain (flood water) force mains to <br /> discharge storm water from Seaport Boulevard to Redwood Creek. The force mains <br /> are 6" and 24" in diameter, and are encased in 20" and 42" steel casings respectively, <br /> and are to be located under the existing llnion Pacific Railroad Company property. <br /> Union Pacific Railroad Company is willing to permit Redwood City to enter onto their <br /> property to maintain the force mains. Agreements for each force main have been <br /> prepared for execution by the Union Pacific Railroad Company, and the City has <br /> reviewed said agreements and is in concurrence. <br /> Fiscal Impacts <br /> There are no fiscal impacts to the City by this action. <br /> . /, <br /> / c�.,c�� � �' � '� ` � <br /> Lowell L.W.
