<br />MIS HartnettIHoward to adopt the proposed RESOLUTION 13942 in conjunction with <br />the letter sent by Mayor Ruskin dated June 28, 2000. The motion passed by a majority roll <br />call vote with Council Members Jordan and Ira voting no. <br /> <br />Consensus by Council was for the Transportation Committee to take the subject of ferry <br />service into consideration for a recommendation on any further action. MEMO <br /> <br />Council Member Ira exited the teleconference session - 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />10. STAFF REPORTS- <br /> <br />A) A ward of Contract - Redwood Shores Levee Improvement Project - Segment 1; <br /> <br />Senior Civil Engineer Vorametsanti explained the background on the subject. <br /> <br />Council questions included what staff has done since Council voted to close the levees, <br />how many predators have been trapped and when the alternate plan will be ready. <br /> <br />MIS ClaireIHartnett to adopt RESOLUTION 13943 ACCEPTING BID FOR THE REDWOOD <br />SHORES LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - SEGMENT 1; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />(Granite Construction Company); <br /> <br />The motion passed by a majority roll call vote with Council Member Jordan voting no and <br />Council Member Ira absent. <br /> <br />11. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - None <br /> <br />12. PUBLIC HEARING - <br /> <br />i) <br /> <br />Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District - District Confirmation and Levying <br />of Assessments; <br /> <br />Senior Civil Engineer Vorametsanti explained the background and that there is a <br />unanimous affirmative vote for this district. <br /> <br />Mayor Ruskin opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />MIS ClaireIHoward to close the public hearing.
