<br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />July 24, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Final Acceptance - Blomquist Street Extension Wetlands Mitigation Plan <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Accept, by motion, the Blomquist Street Wetlands Mitigation Plan Project, and authorize <br />the release of bonds. <br /> <br />Background <br />On March 6, 2000, the City Council awarded the contract for the Blomquist Street <br />Wetlands Mitigation Plan Project to Bellicitti and Pellicciotti Construction, Inc of Santa <br />Clara, California, for an amount of $69,085.35, <br /> <br />Construction of the "wetlands" planting is required to mitigate for the loss of existing <br />wetlands that will result from the future construction of our Blomquist Extension project. <br />The amount of replacement wetlands (8710 SF) can then be "banked" as future credit <br />for the actual construction, when and if the road project does go forward. <br /> <br />All work is completed in accordance with the Contract Documents, and to the <br />satisfaction of Engineering and Construction. <br /> <br /> <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />Funds in the amount of $216,000 are appropriated in the 1998-1999 Capital <br />Improvement Program budget in the Transportation Fund, for this project. <br /> <br />~) <br />)';' ¡í JJ- <br />' i'/ ,¿u.:1 <br />Ed Evere <br />City Manager <br /> <br /> <br />0 Patterson <br />anager, Engineering & Construction <br /> <br />JP:JKL:ss <br />S/library/reports/lynch/Accept_Blomquist wetlands <br /> <br />.-,...
