1 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> July 24, 2000 <br /> Subject <br /> Surplus Property <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve a resolution declaring the property on the attached list surplus. <br /> Background <br /> The Public Works Services Department, in coordination with the Finance Department, acts <br /> as the centralized collection and storage point for City personal property, either wom out <br /> and/or surplus for various City departments. <br /> Government Code Section 37351 and Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> City as amended, permits the sale of any City personal property having an appraised value <br /> of five thousand dollars or less without public notice or public bid for any reasonable <br /> amount, irrespective of its appraised value.
