<br />1.3 GI' <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER <br />FISCAL YEAR 2000/01 <br /> <br />CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Provide a quality preschool experience to at least 20 four year-old children which will lay a <br />foundation for them to be successful in school and the community. <br /> <br />Provide 12 parent community meetings, workshops and parent society and support meetings, <br />including but not limited to the following topics: Child Development, discipline, safety, violence <br />prevention/fingerprinting, lead poisoning prevention, budgeting, CPR and first aid, health and <br />nutrition, family activities, child abuse and appropriate toys and materials for children. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Six staff members will attend three staff development workshops. Community College tuition and <br />book reimbursement for at least 2 staff members. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Provide support services to the families of the children enrolled which will enhance their <br />mainstreaming into the Redwood City community and provide a crucial link between school and <br />home by: <br /> <br />A. Requiring parent participation in the classroom with a 3 hour minimum per month <br />B. Referring clients to Social Services and other professionals as needed. <br />
