<br />1.~3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000-2001 COST <br />SHARED SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13894, adopted May 8, 2000, the <br /> <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000-2001 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair <br /> <br />Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc. of Emeryville, California is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred <br /> <br />Eighty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-five and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($187,725.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated August 16, <br />2000 for the 2000-2001 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair Project, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement" (form dated 08/21/00) by <br /> <br />and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> <br />Reso-979 <br />DES:djk <br />F :/Shared/Redwood/Cou ncil <br />08/21/00 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />'OOO'T--OO'O-TMO_.O <br />
