<br />Mayor Ruskin explained Bob Bury served six terms on the Council and has been Mayor <br />and continues to commit himself to the well being of the City. On October 13, an event will <br />be held to commemorate his service. <br /> <br />MIS IralPierce to extend the meeting to 11 :25 p.m. The motion passed by a unanimous <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />MIS Howard/Hartnett to name October 13, 2000 Bob Bury Day in recognition of decades of <br />service and commitment to Redwood City. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER 00-282 <br /> <br />C) Council Member Ira stated that previously Mayor Ruskin had sent a letter and resolution <br />regarding binding arbitration. He requested authorization for Mayor Ruskin to send a letter <br />to the Governor's office stating the Council's opposition to binding arbitration as soon as <br />possible in conformance with the recommendations of the League of California Cities. <br />Consensus from Council was to send the letter to Governor Davis. <br />MINUTE ORDER 00-283 <br /> <br />13.
