<br />T?1"A'-' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR HOMELESS PREVENTION AND <br />EVICTION DEFENSE PROJECT <br /> <br />(LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL, INC.) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, La Raza Centro Legal, Inc. (Contractor) conducts a homeless <br /> <br />prevention and eviction defense project for residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br /> <br />Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />alJocate to Contractor, the sum of Twenty Thousand and nol1 00 DolJars ($20.000.00) <br /> <br />from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes: and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br /> <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. . it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Homeless Prevention and <br /> <br />Eviction Defense Project."
