<br />~/'^:At' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR FIRSTS TOP . SMALL BUSINESS LEGAL <br />ASSISTANCE <br /> <br />(LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County (Contractor) conducts a <br /> <br />conducts a technical assistance and legal advice program to assist low income residents <br /> <br />of Redwood City to establish their own business (the Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30.2001; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifteen Thousand and no/lOO Dollars ($15.000.00) <br /> <br />from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br /> <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />"'-r-""""""""-" ""T' <br />
