<br />T).,.. ~~ \ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br />MERVIN G. MORRIS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB <br /> <br />(BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE PENINSULA) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula (Contractor) conducts a <br /> <br />facility renovation/improvement project to 1109 Hilton which provides services to at-risk <br /> <br />youth who are residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing Ju]y 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 20O]; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />aUocate to Contractor. the sum of Ten Thousand and nol1 00 DoUars ($] 0,000.00) from <br /> <br />its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br /> <br />reviewed by, this CounciJ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, Agreement for Capita] Improvements to the <br /> <br />Mervin Morris Boys and Girls Club (Boys and Gir]s Club of the Peninsula) (form dated <br /> <br />8115/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and Boys and Girls Club of the <br /> <br />8/15/00 <br /> <br />~"'--_._"'Y"- _00 <br />
