The times allowed for hunting are also <br />reflective of the time of sunrise. <br /> <br />The attached map indicates the specific areas where hunting is currently prohibited. <br /> <br />Conclusion <br />The Redwood City Police Department is aware of eight complaints of gunfire associated with duck <br />hunters in the past twelve months. There were no citations issued as a result of these complaints. <br />Oftentimes, the responding officers are unable to locate the source of the gunshots or are unable to <br />approach the violators safely. These complaints will no doubt continue as long as hunting is <br />permitted. There have been no known injuries as a result of duck hunting in Redwood City. Due to <br />many hunters uncertainty regarding jurisdiction issues, Fish & Game Officials recommend signs be <br />placed at the entrances to Steinburger Slough and Belmont Slough indicating that hunting is <br />prohibited. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />1.
