The property is vacant and is located along the improved <br /> CA 94064 frontage (paved area) of Laurel Way. <br /> FAX (fi50) 780 As we discussed in our previous conversations with Deborah Nelson, <br /> TDD (650) 700 Community Development Services Director, the City must deny the <br /> Architectural Permit based on an existing City Council policy <br /> www.redwoodcity.or� regarding Laurel Way. Denial is based on the following findings: <br /> Findinas <br /> ECONOMIC The proposal is contrary to a City Council policy established in 1988. <br /> DEVELOPMENT That policy states that no further development should occur on Laurel <br /> Way until the environmental and public health/safety issues are <br /> (o5D� 7Q0 addressed. Accarding to the staff documents, this policy pertains to <br /> all pa'rcels fronting Laurel Way. <br /> HOUSING Specifically, the following items would have to be completed prior to <br /> any development on Laurel Way: <br /> (650� 780 <br /> • Preparation of an environmental impact report for the entire project <br /> area (i.e. all parcels fronting Laurel Way) based on a development <br /> plan for the area. <br /> PLANNING <br /> (650} 780 • Preparation of improvement plans for Laurel Way so as to require <br /> all future development to conform to established grades, street <br /> alignments, utilities and storm drain facilities. <br /> REDEVELOPMENT <br /> (&50) 780-7Z33 <br /> Equal dppnrtunity / Equal Access Program dedicated to upening the donrs of equa) opportunity ta all residents, users & Redwood City programs, services and facilities. <br />
