  8-6►3
Since the Council has voted in the new restrictions in 1988, as recommended by the staff
report no new homes have been built. The City has effectively created a moratorium for the
last 12 years. The seller of Lot 21 has in essence been unfairly denied the opportunity to sell
his land.
It is mv belief that the staff report as adopted by the Council should applv to those properties
bevond the existinq road and utilities as stated in the 1985 reqort. I sincerely believe that Lot 21
can comply with all the current City codes and restrictions and should be given a building
permit.
There is a significant housing shortage in Redwood City and I know the City has a commitment
to reduce this shortage. Although this is only one lot, it is really my only hope of being able to
have a home in Redwood City, the city where I was born and raised.
Please consider the above facts and give us your support to proceed with our plan to buy Lot
21 and build our home.
Sincerely,
'; f
Lynda Flores Brouchoud
Thomas Brouchoud
3
. .. _ . .. _ . _ __ ._ .. ._ ...____._..... __ _ _
