f� -D�-1 � <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST REGIUIRES THE <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT <br /> ENCOMPASSING THE AREA ON ROOSEVELT AVENUE FROM HUDSON <br /> STREET TO VALOTA ROAD; DESIGNATING SAID DISTRICT AS <br /> UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2000-1; PROVIDING A DESCRIPTION <br /> OF SAID BOUNDARIES; AND STATING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br /> HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE FORMATION OF THE DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, Article il of Chapter 11, (commencing with §11.30) of the Code of the City of <br /> Redwood City provides a procedure for the establishment of underground utility districts within <br /> portions of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Community Development Services Director have <br /> recommended the establishment of the hereinafter described underground utility district; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the recommendation and has determined that the <br /> public interest and convenience require the establishment of said underground utility district; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, under California Public utilities Commission Rule <br /> 20-A, qualifies for reimbursement from utility corporations of a portion of the costs incurred by <br /> the City for undergrounding overhead utilities in said district; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Council hereby finds and declares that the public interest and convenience <br /> require the establishment of the hereinafter described underground utility district. <br /> 2.
