Distribute public information. <br /> 2. Distribute information sheets, community guides and maps on Redwood <br /> City. <br /> 3. Maintain a Leadership Redwood City Program. <br /> 4. Publish twice monthly, "It's Your Town" which provides space to local <br /> groups and organizations to promote their projects. <br /> 5. Publish a weekly Chamber/Community Page in the Redwood City Almanac. <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> 1. Revision of the Economic Development Strategy <br /> • Target industry programs for identification and outreach <br /> • Citywide business promotion <br /> Business Appreciation Event, Thursday, October 5, 2000, 5:30-7:30pm at <br /> the San Mateo County Historical Museum in Downtown Redwood City. <br /> • Continue focus groups with major employers, and Mayor, <br /> Councilmembers and/or senior staff. (Auto Dealers, E-Commerce/High <br /> Tech, Commercial Real Estate/Developers) <br /> • Project Brochures — Program designed to provide local, current <br /> information on city projects and community highlights to local business <br /> owners and residents. <br /> • Commercial Real Estate Breakfast — provides commercial real estate <br /> commu�nity including lenders, brokers and developers an opportunity to <br /> share knowledge about current and future projects with elected officials <br /> and City Staff. <br /> 2. Research and publish community economic profile for 2000-2001. <br /> 3. Provide general assistance in business development through the Service Corps of <br /> Retired Executives (SCORE) counseling program every Wednesday free to <br /> Redwood City residents. <br /> 4. Maintain a"Doing Business in Redwood City" information packet. <br /> 5. Provide such other programs or materiafs to which the Chamber and City may <br /> mutually agree. <br /> 3 <br />
