<br />'7. S--A'1 <br /> <br />Underground Utility district individual electric service trenching and conductor to the extent <br />required (including backfill, paving, and conduit), but not exceeding 100 feet. Each other <br /> <br />serving utility shall provide service trenching and conductor in accordance with its tariffs on file <br />with the PUC or as required by its Franchise Agreement with the City. Except for single-family <br /> <br />dwellings, City's Facilities and Hawes School, each property owner within the Underground <br />Utility District shall be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the conduit and <br /> <br />termination box located on, under, or within any structure on the premises served. <br /> <br />SECTION 11. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this <br /> <br />Ordinance to PG&E and request, on behalf of the Council, that PG&E pay from the existing <br /> <br />allocation of the City of Redwood City for: (a) the installation of no more than 100 feet of each <br /> <br />customer's underground electric service lateral occasioned by the undergrounding; (b) the <br /> <br />conversion of electric service panels to accept underground service, up to $1,500 per service <br /> <br />entrance, excluding permit fees; <br /> <br />SECTION 12. From and after the time fixed by Section 5 of this Ordinance, it shall be <br /> <br />unlawful for any person, including utility companies, to erect, maintain or operate any pole, <br /> <br />overhead wire or associated structure in any portion of the street, road, alley or way within <br /> <br />Underground Utility District No. 2000-1, except to the extent expressly permitted. Violations of <br />this Section shall constitute a misdemeanor pursuant to the Code of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and shall be punishable as provided in Section 1.7 of the Code of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />SECTION 13. The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this Ordinance as <br /> <br />provided by Section 11.47 of the Code of the City of Redwood City and shall accompany said <br /> <br />notice with a copy of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 14.
