<br />7, 2 -13~ <br /> <br /> <br />November 13, 2000 <br /> <br />.subject <br />Final Acceptance - 1999/2000 Civic Facilities Painting Project <br />Engineering File No. 803-02 <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Accept the improvements for the 1999/2000 Civic Facilities Painting Project, and <br />authorize the release of bonds. <br /> <br />Background <br />The 1999/2000 Civic Facilities Painting Project was implemented to paint various civic <br />buildings that needed a fresh look, after years of wear and tear. This included painting <br />the public areas of the Main Library; the interior and exterior of Fire Stations #9, #10, & <br />#12; the interior and exterior of the Community Activities Building, and the exterior of <br />the Fair Oaks Community Center and Senior Center portion of the Community Center. <br />In addition, the exterior of the Veterans Memorial Senior Resource Center was also <br />painted. <br /> <br />The newly painted appearance has truly been appreciated by the patrons, and <br />aesthetically brightened up these facilities. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />ARCO Painting of San Francisco, California completed the work for the total amount of <br />$159,520.00.
