<br />DES:djk 10/09/91 <br /> <br />(102/28) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />10/21/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11621 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PURCHASE OF ONE (1) USED <br />PASSENGER VEHICLE AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2.76 <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has, <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />motion, <br /> <br />suspended <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII <br /> <br />("Purchasing"), Chapter 2, of said <br /> <br />Code in connection with the acquisition of one (1) used passenger <br /> <br />vehicle required for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />solicitation of informal bids has resulted in an <br /> <br />offer from Hertz Car Sales, which offer represents the lowest <br /> <br />offer for the vehicle meeting the City's requirements; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The offer of Hertz Car Sales to sell one (1) 1990 Ford <br /> <br />Thunderbird used passenger vehicle for the amount of Ten Thousand <br /> <br />Six Hundred Ninety-Nine and No/100 Dollars ($10,699.00) is hereby <br /> <br />accepted. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter <br /> <br />into <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />sales <br /> <br />agreements, <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />orders, <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />other <br /> <br />documents appropriate or necessary (in form approved by the City <br /> <br />Attorney) to complete the acquisition of said vehicle. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />----....- ."""-'~.-- <br />
