<br />DES:mgl9/l9/9l <br /> <br />(030/030) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />9/23/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11609 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR ASPHALT PAVEMENT CRACK <br />SEALER EQUIPMENT AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, <br /> <br />the City Manager solicited written bids without <br /> <br />public advertisement for the purchase of asphalt pavement crack <br /> <br />sealer equipment; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation four <br /> <br />(4 ) <br /> <br />bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Bacon-Western Company, of San Leandro, California, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible <br /> <br />bidder <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />desire <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />intention of this Council to accept the bid of said Bacon-Western <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Bacon-Western <br /> <br />Company <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Leandro, <br /> <br />California, in the amount of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred and <br /> <br />No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($17,500.00) <br /> <br />computed <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance with <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated September 3, <br /> <br />1991, <br /> <br />for the sale of one <br /> <br />asphalt pavement crack sealer unit is hereby accepted, and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for said equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all necessary or appropriate documents (in form approved <br /> <br />by the City Attorney) on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />.
