<br />DES:dft <br /> <br />1)/04/91 (025/30) <br />'16/91 <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11604 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR GEOTECHNICAL OBSERVATION AND TESTING <br />SERVICES RELATING TO NEW POLICE FACILITY <br /> <br />(TEJIMA AND ASSOCIATES, INC.) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City proposes to construct a <br /> <br />new <br /> <br />police <br /> <br />facility <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />130l <br /> <br />Maple <br /> <br />Street, <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />California (the "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires <br /> <br />professional <br /> <br />engineering <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />for geotechnical <br /> <br />observation <br /> <br />and testing and related activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Tejima <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Associates, <br /> <br />Inc., <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />represents <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />qualified, <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />basis <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />experience <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />expertise, <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />perform <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />aforesaid <br /> <br />unique <br /> <br />professional services required for the Project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement - Geotechnical <br /> <br />Observation <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Testing <br /> <br />Services <br /> <br />New <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />Facility <br /> <br />(form <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />9/04/9l) <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />between <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City, <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />municipal <br /> <br />corporation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Tejima <br /> <br />and Associates, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the performance of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Project, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the <br />full particulars thereof, is hereby approved and the City Manager <br /> <br />and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and <br /> <br />to attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
