<br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />9/16/91 <br /> <br />k o~ ~ 0 L UTI 0 N. <br /> <br />11601 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF SANTA CLARA AND SAN MATEO <br />COUNTIES (CDBG) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties is <br /> <br />presently engaged in the operation of Operation Brown Bag and desires to conduct a free <br /> <br />food program for the elderly residents of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, <br /> <br />has requested financial assistance in order to conduct such a program for elderly residents <br /> <br />of the City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1991, and ending June 30, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties the sum of <br /> <br />Five Thousand and no/lOO Dollars ($5,000) from its Community Development Block Grant <br /> <br />funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an agreement <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San <br /> <br />Mateo Counties and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 9/12/91), by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby <br /> <br />made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
