<br />DES:dft ~Q/04/91 (022/30) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />9/16/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11590 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE <br />AND SOFTWARE FOR ENHANCEMENT OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION <br />SYSTEM PROGRAM <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City this Council has, by motion duly made <br /> <br />on the affirmative vote of at least five <br /> <br />( 5) <br /> <br />members of said <br /> <br />Council, suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> <br />of said Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br /> <br />supplies with regard to the purchase hereinafter authorized. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />This Council does hereby authorize and direct the City <br /> <br />Manager <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />ARC/Info <br /> <br />Geographic <br /> <br />Information <br /> <br />System <br /> <br />software license; to exchange a SUN 386i/250 computer workstation <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />SUN <br /> <br />SPARC <br /> <br />Station <br /> <br />2-GX <br /> <br />computer work <br /> <br />station; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />purchase a SUN SPARC Station 1PX-GX computer work station, from <br /> <br />Environmental Systems Research Institute, <br /> <br />Redlands, California, <br /> <br />at a cost not to exceed $35,000.00. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents <br /> <br />(in form approved by the City Attorney) <br /> <br />necessary <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />convenient <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />completion <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />transaction <br /> <br />hereinabove approved. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />"'--¡-"'--T---'-'- <br />
