<br />DES:mgl 07 '11/91 <br /> <br />(010/30) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at said hearing, opportunity was given for any and <br />all objections raised by any property owner liable to be assessed <br /> <br />for the work of spraying and disking of abating weeds, <br /> <br />dirt, <br /> <br />rubbish and rank growths to be heard by this Council; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />All <br /> <br />objections <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />itemized <br /> <br />report <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />proposed <br /> <br />assessment list submitted by the Superintendent of Streets of the <br /> <br />cost of removing weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths from or <br /> <br />abutting each parcel of land from which said weeds, dirt, rubbish <br /> <br />or rank growths were removed by spraying and disking, heard at <br /> <br />the above-mentioned public hearing <br /> <br />in the manner specified by <br /> <br />law, are hereby overruled. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Said <br /> <br />report <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />proposed <br /> <br />assessment <br /> <br />list <br /> <br />are <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />confirmed <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />cost <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />removing <br /> <br />said weeds, <br /> <br />dirt, <br /> <br />rubbish and rank growths from or abutting said parcels of land by <br /> <br />spraying <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />disking <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />constitute <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />lien on <br /> <br />such parcels <br /> <br />until paid. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />A copy of said report and assessment list and a copy of <br /> <br />this resolution shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to the <br /> <br />County Auditor and Controller for entry and collection with the <br /> <br />next tax roll upon which general property taxes are collected on <br /> <br />behalf <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />thereafter <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />assessment <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />collected at the <br /> <br />same time and in the same manner as <br /> <br />secured <br /> <br />property taxes are collected and shall be subject to the same <br /> <br />interest and penalties and the same procedure and sale in case of <br /> <br />delinquency. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />11582 <br /> <br />T------Y'. - <br />
