<br />DES:cr. 7/17/91 (005/30) <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />approves <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />filing <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />application for the Per Capita Grant Program under the California <br /> <br />Wildlife, <br /> <br />Coastal, <br /> <br />and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988 <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />grant assistance for the following projects: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Mezes Park - playground and tennis court <br /> <br />improvements; <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Spinas Park - playground and tennis court <br /> <br />improvements; <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Shorebird Park - tennis court improvements. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />acknowledges <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />certifies <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />it understand the assurances and certification set forth in <br /> <br />the application form and <br /> <br />(ii) <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City has, or <br /> <br />will have, sufficient funds to operate and maintain the projects <br /> <br />for which grant funds are sought. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />Director <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Parks, <br /> <br />Recreation <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Services is hereby designated as the agent of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />conduct <br /> <br />all <br /> <br />negotiations, <br /> <br />execute <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />submit <br /> <br />all <br /> <br />documents including, <br /> <br />but not limited to, <br /> <br />applications, <br /> <br />payment <br /> <br />requests, and associated documents which may be necessary for the <br /> <br />completion of the aforementioned projects and, further, the City <br /> <br />Manager hereby is authorized and directed to execute any and all <br /> <br />agreements, purchase orders, and/or amendments thereto necessary <br /> <br />or appropriate for the accomplishment of the foregoing purposes. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />11579 <br /> <br />'r--~T' .. <br />
