But on the evening of July 30, before <br />concluding business and adjourning for the July 4 recess, the House and <br />Senate passed another short-term extension of current highway and transit <br />law. This will give conferees time to negotiate and iron out the policy details of <br />a comprehensive reauthorization bill.
