07/11/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14655 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE STATE LANDS <br />COMMISSION AMENDMENT OF LEASE NO. PRC 5740.9 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, the State of California, acting through the State Lands Commission <br />( "Lessor"), and the City of Redwood City ( "Lessee ") entered into a Lease Agreement <br />designated as Lease PRC 5740.9 and executed on or about August 9, 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, said Lease granted to City a general lease for public agency use <br />covering certain lands in San Mateo County; and <br />WHEREAS, Lessee desires to upgrade existing facilities that connect Belmont <br />Slough to the Redwood Shores Lagoon System; and <br />WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee wish to amend the Lease. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests and <br />authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax assessments <br />in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2005 -2006 in accordance with the documents <br />supplied by the District and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Collector to collect <br />Atty /Reso.1552 14655 <br />062905 Muff # 304 <br />
