ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR Johanna Corvello submitted a letter and petition to obtain speed bumps on Lakeview Way. She stated that there is an ongoing issue of speeding and there needs to be a permanent solution to the problem. The area identified for the speed bumps is between Lakemead and Woodland and by the County sign border. She stated that although police officers have been dispatched for a day or a week at a time, it is not effective long term. She further stated that the "Children Playing" signs posted in 2000 are now being ignored. She stated safety concerns such as speeding, cars cutting across driveway, dog having been killed, children in the area, and the inability to safely exit from the residence driveway. Molly K. Spore - Alhadef, librarian and steward for SEIU Local 715, thanked Council for its concern for the library staff and expressed the concern for the potential for more cuts. She stated that grants and volunteers are not the total answer and that the permanent staff is wearing down. She stated concern that the level of service is not of the desired quality and is directly a factor of under staffing resulting in stress to the staff. M/S Hartnett/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.
