<br />EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />BCDC IMPROVEMENT WORK <br /> <br />Pursuant to Permit No. 6-94 issued on July 24, 1996 by the San Francisco Bay <br />Conservation and Development Commission ("BCDC") to the City of Redwood City <br />("City") and Redwood Shores Properties ("Licensor"), as amended through June 26, 1997 <br />by Amendment No. One ("Amendment No. One") issued by BCDC (as amended, the <br />"BCDC Permit"), the City has agreed to construct the following improvements <br />(collectively, the "BCDC Improvements") at the City's sole cost and expense (and at no <br />cost to Licensor) within the Easement Areas (as defined in the foregoing License and <br />Indemnification Agreement (the "License Agreement"». Capitalized terms used in this <br />Exhibit C which are not defined herein shall have the meanings given them in the <br />foregoing License Agreement. All BCDC Improvements shall be constructed in strict <br />compliance with the terms of BCDC Permit and the License Agreement. <br /> <br />The City, at the City's sole cost and expense, shall undertake and complete the <br />following BCDC Improvements: <br /> <br />1. The City shall place fill on those limited portions of Levee Segment VII <br />described on Exhibit D to the License Agreement to raise Levee Segment VII to + 1 0 feet <br />National Geodetic Verticle Datum ("NGVD"). The finished Levee Segment VII's top <br />width shall be fifteen (15) feet at most locations with a 2:1 slope. The City shall place <br />gravel on top of Levee Segment VII to create a 12-foot wide maintenance road. <br /> <br />2. The City shall construct a fence with a gate approximately 900 feet nom the <br />southwestern corner of Levee Segment VII in the location described on Exhibit E to the <br />License Agreement, with the gate to allow access for authorized persons and vehicles but <br />to prevent general public access. <br /> <br />3. The City shall construct a ten-foot wide paved pedestrian and bicycle path <br />along 900 feet at the southwestern corner of Levee Segment VII in the location described <br />on Exhibit F to the License Agreement terminating at the Observation Deck (as defined in <br />paragraph 4 below). <br /> <br />4. The City shall construct a 200-square foot elevated public observation <br />platform cantilevered over the bayward slope of Levee Segment VII in the location <br />described on Exhibit G to the License Agreement (the "Observation Deck"). <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The City shall construct a ten (10) foot wide asphalt pedestrian and bicycle <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />-- lr' <br />
