<br />5-4'{!-/¿ <br /> <br />7. The asphalt overlay of Jefferson and Middlefield and the installation of <br />the downtown signals will be completed with the streetscape <br />improvements. <br />8. The proposed name change of Middlefield to Theatre Way will be <br />considered in FY 2005/06, Meetings with affected property owners <br />were held. <br />9, The downtown gateway and directional signage program is in the <br />conceptual design phase. <br />10. The downtown parking management plan has been developed and <br />reviewed in a series of community meetings. The proposed policies <br />have been reviewed with the City Council. <br />11, The property-based improvement district was put on hold until some of <br />the above projects are complete. <br />12, Work on the development of an annual calendar of signature events <br />continues. <br /> <br />FY 05/06 Work Proqram <br />The work program and goals for FY 2005/06 will complete many of the projects <br />initiated in 2003 and continue the progress made in FY 2003, 2004 and 2005. <br />They include: <br /> <br />1. Complete the public parking facilities and improvements (Jefferson <br />Garage, Marshall St. Garage, Block 2) and open the retail/cinema <br />project. <br />2. Complete construction of the streetscape improvements, including <br />"Theatre Way", Broadway from Jefferson to Hamilton (intersections <br />included), new downtown signals, Jefferson Ave. and Middlefield Rd. <br />3. Restore Courthouse façade and complete construction of the plaza. <br />4, Complete and adopt downtown precise plan. <br />5. Approve downtown parking management plan, adopt appropriate <br />ordinances and resolutions, implement plan. <br />6. Successfully complete both pedestrian and vehicular linkages from <br />Veteran's Blvd and the County parking garage to the theatre district. <br />7. Complete design and installation of downtown way finding and <br />directional signage program. <br />8. Continue "place making" efforts with the completion of Post Office <br />Paseo improvements and property enhancements pursuant to <br />agreement with U.S. Postal Service. <br />9. Develop and implement a centralized downtown management program <br />to help insure the ongoing success of both new and existing downtown <br />businesses and the new "24/7" downtown. <br /> <br />Downtown Fundinq Plan/Capital Budqet <br />The primary funding for the priorities and goals outlined above was incorporated <br />into a multi-year capital budget known as the downtown funding plan that was <br />conceptually approved as part of the FY 2003/04 budget process, The majority <br /> <br />REDEVSHARED_2005 STAFF REPORTS_07-2005Jinal Redevelopment Agency Budget for FY 2005/06 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />.- .... <br />
