<br />DES:djk 0-:1./27/91 <br /> <br />(040/27) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />4/8/91 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11501 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE SERVICES <br />RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />part <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />recrea t.ional <br /> <br />program <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />benefit <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />cit.izens of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />operation of <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />softball <br /> <br />leagues <br /> <br />requires <br /> <br />that umpires be select.ed, trained and scheduled to officiate at <br /> <br />such softball games; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Umpire's Association has represented <br /> <br />to the City that it has the personnel qualified to perform the <br /> <br />aforementioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />been <br /> <br />presented <br /> <br />t.o <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and t.he Redwood <br /> <br />City Umpire's Association for said association to furnish City <br /> <br />with the aforesaid skills and services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OR REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement <br /> <br />entitled <br /> <br />"Agreement <br /> <br />for Personal <br /> <br />Services" <br /> <br />(form <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />03/27/91) , <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />between <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood City and the Redwood City Umpire's Association, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br /> <br />which copy reference <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby made <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />t.he <br /> <br />full <br /> <br />particulars <br /> <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk <br /> <br />r'-' <br />
