WORKPLAN
Mobilization
Shipping and receiving of materials will be coordinated at the work site. This may require setting
up temporary fencing and taking deliveries of the materials a day in advance of the arrival of the
equipment.
Site Setup
The Proposed Pilot Test Location Map presents the proposed layout at each of the three areas.
City understands the need to minimize the impact to the businesses in the shopping center;
however to ensure public safety, a barricaded work zone will need to be established that includes
an operational and buffer zone around the exclusion zone. As presented in the map, an
approximately 40 it by 60 ft work zone secured by temporary construction chain-link fence (with
optional privacy screens) will be defined at the PRB and "D" Well Area. The work zone at the
"B" Well Area will be irregular to conform to the limits of the asphalt cover and to allow the
field crew access to monitoring well E -11A for pressure influence monitoring during the
injection.
A fire hydrant approximately 40 feet southeast of the "D" Well injection area will supply water
for operations at both the PRB Emplacement and "D" Wells Areas. A drive -over hose ramp will
be used to run the water hose across the traffic lane with appropriate signage while supplying
water to the PRB Emplacement Area. The water hose will not be exposed to traffic while going
toward the "D" Well Area. Another fire hydrant is positioned at the corner of Jefferson Avenue
and the driveway into the shopping center just northeast of Old Navy; it may be used to supply
water to the injection operations at the "E" Well Area without affecting traffic.
Prior to mobilizing to the site, a utility locating service will be hired to survey and mark -out
existing underground utilities. Boreboles will be positioned at least 5 feet away from any marked
utility location.
Monitoring Well Installation
A 2 -inch monitoring well in the "PRB" Emplacement Area will be installed prior to commencing
injection. The well will provide the project team with baseline and post-injection groundwater
data and also allows for the monitoring of pressure influence during the injection. The
monitoring well will be constructed following the specification below:
• Total depth of 18 feet below ground surface
• Screened from 8 feet to 18 feet with 0.010 slot
• Filter pack from 7 to 18 feet with 2/12 sand
• Bentonite from 6 to 7 feet
• Cement grout from 0.5 to 6 feet
• 8-incb traffic rated flush -mount manhole
Page 9 of 10
REV: 10-18-17 MI
ATTY/AGR.2017.235/Safeway, Inc. - Access Agreement
