<br />EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />Collection of Assessments <br /> <br />The amount of any assessment imposed by this article shall be deemed <br />a debt to the City of Redwood City, and any person owing such <br />assessment shall be liable in an action in the name of the City in <br />any court of competent jurisdiction for the amount of the assessment <br />and any penalties imposed under this article. <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />Appeals <br /> <br />Any business owner aggrieved by any decision of City Staff with <br />respect to the assessment levied against their business may appeal <br />such a decision to the City Council by filing a notice of appeal with <br />the City Clerk within fifteen (15) days of such decision. The City <br />Clerk shall fix a time and place for hearing such appeal, and the <br />City Clerk shall give notice in writing to such person of the time <br />and place of the hearing by personal service or by depositing it with <br />the U.S. Postal Service, postage prepaid, at Redwood City, <br />California, addressed to such person as the address appearing on said <br />person1s last business license or application. The findings of the <br />City Council shall be final and conclusive and shall be served upon <br />the applicant in the manner prescribed above for service of the <br />notice of the hearing. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />-_._...-T--T <br />
