<br />business owners within the area proposed to be established, the <br /> <br />Downtown Association, <br /> <br />the Chamber of Commerce, <br /> <br />city staff and <br /> <br />members of the City Council have conferred and met and reached a <br /> <br />consensus <br /> <br />on the boundary <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the proposed Downtown Business <br /> <br />Improvement Area, the assessment formula and type of activities to <br /> <br />be sponsored thereunder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br />1. A public hearing on the establishment of the Downtown <br /> <br />Business Improvement Area No. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />( "Area") pursuant to Streets & <br /> <br />Highways Code § 36500 et seq. will be held by this Council at a <br /> <br />regular meeting thereof on Monday, March 11, 1991, at 7:30 P.M., <br /> <br />Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, 401 <br /> <br />Marshall Street, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />2. All testimony of all interested persons for or against <br /> <br />the establishment of the Area, the extent of the Area, the method <br /> <br />and basis of levying assessments, or the furnishing of specified <br /> <br />types of improvements or activities will be heard at said public <br /> <br />hearing. <br /> <br />3. The boundaries of the proposed Area are as set forth <br /> <br />in exhibits A-I and A-2 attached hereto, incorporated by reference <br /> <br />herein as though set forth in full. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />The name of the proposed Area shall be <br /> <br />"Downtown <br /> <br />Business Improvement Area No.2". <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The improvements and/or activities to be funded by <br /> <br />the levy upon businesses in this Area are set forth in exhibit B, <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />11478 <br />
