o Permittee shall document and report to City every incident involving an <br />injury to an individual and/or animal; every incident resulting in damage to <br />property; every incident involving a collision with any individual, animal, or <br />property; any other operational safety issues; and any complaints from <br />members of the public. These incident reports shall, at a minimum, include <br />the location, circumstances and description of the incident or safety issue. <br />Permittee shall transmit incident reports to City within six hours of any <br />incident involving an injury to a person or animal and within 24 hours for <br />any other incident or safety issue. In addition, all data capturing any <br />incident shall be stored, maintained, and be readily available for retrieval <br />by the City for a period of two years. <br /> <br />· Require additional insurance. <br />o Protection of Property – Liability, Repair, Sidewalk Access Ramps, and <br />Warranty provisions. <br /> <br />The new conditions of approval are provided in Attachment 1. <br /> <br />The additional company, if it chooses to operate in Redwood City, would need to <br />comply with all of the required conditions set forth in the program. If the proposed pilot <br />program extension is approved by the City Council, the City Manager could approve <br />participation in the revised program by both Starship and one other robot operator. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council could require additional provisions for the pilot program, or end the pilot <br />program allowing autonomous delivery robots. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City to extend this pilot program. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As the lead agency, the City of Redwood City has determined that the actions proposed <br />in this Resolution are considered Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15305, <br />Class 5 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
