I( <br />12/10/90 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 11458 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF <br />GOVERNMENTS TO SERVE AS THE TASK FORCE FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section 40000, et seq., <br /> <br />requires that each County convene a Task Force to assist in <br /> <br />coordinating the development of city source reduction and <br /> <br />recycling elements prepared pursuant to Article 1 (commencing <br /> <br />with Section 41000) of Chapter 2 and to prepare the countywide <br /> <br />siting element required pursuant to Chapter 4 (commencing with <br /> <br />Section 41700); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the membership of the task force shall be <br /> <br />determined by the Board of Supervisors and a majority of the <br /> <br />cities within the County which contain a majority of the <br /> <br />population in the County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City/County Association of Governments is being <br /> <br />established as a joint powers entity for the purpose of <br /> <br />developing state mandated plans such as the Integrated Waste <br /> <br />Management Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to designate <br /> <br />the City/County Association of Governments as the local task <br /> <br />force for said purposes in developing an Integrated Waste <br /> <br />Management Plan for the County of San Mateo; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />
