necessary financing for the proper reconstruction and repair of the buildings on the <br />PROPERTY as set forth in item 4e above. Failure by CONSERVATOR to do so <br />shall result in CITY placing a lien on the property for costs of abatement of the <br />public nuisance to date without further court order. <br />8. REMEDIES NOT EXCLUSIVE. The PARTIES acknowledge that CITY is <br />authorized by law to enforce its ordinances and other provisions of law to abate <br />public nuisances and further acknowledge that any remedies set forth herein are not <br />exclusive and do not interfere with CITY's express power to enforce the laws <br />within its jurisdiction. <br />9. RIGHT OF ENTRY. During the term of this Agreement, CONSERVATOR <br />expressly agrees and consents to the right of employees of CITY to enter the <br />property to inspect without the necessity of an inspection warrant or search warrant <br />and specifically authorizes sworn members of the Redwood City Police Department <br />to enter the property to enforce the law, including the laws against trespass. <br />CONSERVATOR agrees to cooperate in the enforcement and prosecution of the <br />law, including the laws against trespass. <br />10. DUTY TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY. During the term of this Agreement, <br />CONSERVATOR agrees to take the following measures to maintain the <br />PROPERTY. <br />a. The property shall be kept free of weeds, dry brush, dead vegetation, trash, <br />junk, debris, building materials, any accumulation of newspapers, circulars, <br />flyers, notices (except those required by federal, state or local law), <br />discarded personal items including but not limited to vehicles, furniture, <br />clothing, large and small appliances, printed material or any other items that <br />give the appearance that the property is vacant. <br />b. The property shall be maintained free of graffiti, tagging or similar <br />markings by removal or painting over with white spray primer during <br />construction phase of project. <br />C. Front and side yards or accessible areas that are visible from the right of <br />way shall be landscaped and maintained such that grass, ground covers, <br />bushes, shrubs, hedges or similar plantings receive regular watering, <br />irrigation, cutting, pruning, mowing and removal of all trimmings. <br />d. The property shall continue to be secured in a manner so as not to be <br />accessible to unauthorized persons nor creates an attractive nuisance, <br />including but not limited to, maintaining a secure perimeter fence around <br />the property, maintaining the boarded -up status of the buildings except <br />during construction, closing and locking of windows, doors and garage <br />doors, gates and any other opening of such size that it may allow access to <br />the interior of the property and or building(s).
