appointed official of the City or Contractor. Contractor will incorporate in all <br />subcontracts hereunder a provision prohibiting such interest. <br />18. LOBBYING PROHIBITED. Funds provided under this Agreement will <br />not be used by Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to <br />support or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local government. <br />19. INHERENTLY RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There will be <br />no religious worship, instruction, or proselytizing as part of the program or <br />services funded under this Agreement. <br />The following restrictions and limitations shall apply to the services <br />rendered by Contractor in connection with the terms of this Agreement: <br />(a) Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment on the basis of religion and will not limit employment or give <br />preference in employment to persons on the basis of religion; and <br />(b) Contractor will provide no religious instruction or counseling, conduct <br />no religious worship or services, engage in no religious proselytizing, and exert <br />no other religious influence related to the Project. <br />20. UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS. Contractor will <br />comply with the requirements and standards of the Community Development <br />Block Grant Regulations, OMB's "Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost <br />Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards," codified at 2 CFR Part <br />200, and all other federal, state, and local laws, regulations and requirements, as <br />applicable. <br />21. COMPLIANCE WITH CALIFORNIA LABOR LAWS AND FEDERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS. The Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of <br />the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis -Bacon Act, as amended, the <br />provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 3701 <br />et seq.) and all other applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations <br />pertaining to labor standards insofar as those acts apply to the performance of <br />Page 9 of 15 <br />REV: 11-06-17 JS <br />ATTY/AGR.2017.260/CORA CONNIE'S HOUSE <br />
