1. Site Improvements a. Align with Parks Needs Assessment if possible. b. Suggest potential programming options c. Examine the reduction of parking from each site as a component of design. Recommendations for Site Improvements and Amenities for Sites 2 & 3 3. Bubble Diagrams for Site Improvements for Sites 2 & 3 a. Prepare up to 3 alternatives for both sites. Alternatives will be reviewed/discussed with City then 2 alternatives per site will be included in report to Council for consideration. Task 2.4 — Bradford Street/ Redwood Creek Improvements This task includes the preparation of light design guidelines and recommendations for the development of Site 6 into a linear parktrecreational corridor. Bubble diagrams and section drawings should provide implementation guidance and a phasing strategy that identifies potential project partners will assist the Parks Department in receiving funding for the Capital Improvement Project. Deliverables: 1. Master Plan /Waterfront Connection Plan a. Preparation of light design guidelines with bubble diagrams that don't layout everything but that sum up the bikelpedestrian facility with adjacent natural areas, resting/viewing areas, etc. b. Work with Engineering to identify the required creek set -back and to determine how much public space is available for linear park/corridor development. c. Note whether or not new bridges should be considered. d. Prepare micro -alternatives for segments of the site. 2. Develop an Implementation Strategy for the construction of the park over a series of phases 3. Identify potential Project Partners to work with on the implementation of the park Task 2.5 — Site Connectivity and Recreation Corridor Study This task should consider integrating parks into the downtown, both visually and physically, by evaluating the connectivity of existing city parks and public open spaces, their potential linkage to bicycle and exercise paths, creek, waterfront and regional trails and open space, and the potential to improve pedestrian comforts, access and safety to create a great public open space network and urban recreation corridors throughout the downtown and its adjacent areas. The routes that form the network and recreation corridors between the parks and open spaces would feature tree -shaded paths to walk, run and bike and would provide recreational opportunities for fitness hubs that feature amenities such as adult exercise equipment, drinking fountains and bottle fillers. They should also contribute to the city's local habitat and urban tree canopy. This task includes coordination with the General Plan, Downtown Precise Plan, and the Parks Assessment Study.
