WEST YOST <br />hipmao <br />A S S O C1 A T E S <br />Daniel Groves, PE, CISSP <br />Daniel Groves has 25 years of experience providing planning, design and <br />implementation of Operational Technology (OT) systems in the water <br />and wastewater infrastructure. For the past 10 years, Dan has focused on <br />Cybersecurity for OT systems, including system assessments, design and <br />implementation of system improvements to improve system performance and <br />resilience against cyber threats. <br />He has served as Program Manager, Project Manager and OT Cybersecurity <br />Subject Matter Expert for assessments, design and implementation of OT <br />systems in the. <br />In previous engagements, Dan served as an instrumentation and controls <br />engineer, OT master planning, design, and implementation, system <br />programming for water and wastewater treatment plant start-up projects. <br />Early in his career, Daniel worked as an electrical technical completing design/ <br />build, installation, and repair of OT systems for water industry clients in the <br />Southwest. <br />EXPERIENCE <br />SCADA AND CYBERSECURITY PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />AWWA Cybersecurity in the Water Sector. American Water Works <br />Association. Denver, CO: This project will design, develop, and deliver <br />face-to-face training workshops to equip water sector managers and operators <br />with the skills needed to effectively apply AW WA1s cybersecurity resources. <br />Workshop participant outcomes include identifying gaps in cybersecurity <br />coverage as well as creating detailed, actionable steps to address those gaps to <br />ultimately increase water systems' security and preparedness. For this project, <br />we will organize existing materials (Guidance and Use Case Tool) for use in <br />workshops. Each workshop will feature interactive discussions and activities <br />that demonstrate how to specifically apply the content to address the needs of <br />the participants attending the workshop. The workshops will include tailored <br />content for operators and managers at small to medium-sized water utilities <br />(serving < 10,000 population) with limited internal capacity. <br />SCADA Cybersecurity Assessment. City of Galt, CA: Conducted an <br />assessment of the current cybersecurity posture of the City's SCADA system <br />and subsequent evaluation of the system using the AW WA Cybersecurity <br />Guidance Tool. The scope of work includes site visits and development <br />of as -is documentation, and prioritized recommendations for addressing <br />vulnerabilities. <br />SCADA Improvement Program, City of Buckeye, AZ: This project <br />included an assessment of the City's current SCADA system and development <br />of a 3 -year, $3.2 million program to upgrade the system.
