Secure SCADA Network Implementation -
Columbia Heights, Minneapolis Water Works, MN:
The Columbia Heights Membrane Plant, which opened
in 2005, has a capacity of 78 mgd, with ultrafiltration
membranes and equipment. This project includes design
(Phase 1) and implementation (Phase 2) of network
upgrades and improvements at Columbia Heights
Membrane Plant, based on a previous network and
security assessment completed by the same technical
team. The scope of work included detailed network
design, PLC programming and system implementation
to upgrade the treatment plant while the system continue
to treat water. This project includes extensive design
and implementation of a complete replacement of the
ControlNet network currently implemented in the plant
and conversion to Ethernet communications.
