The Highway Program funds projects
that remove bottlenecks and improve throughput in the most congested commute
corridors. This call for projects requires projects to commence within one year of TA
approval of funds. Staff proposes to submit a grant application for $20 million in
Measure A funds to help pay for right of way acquisition associated with the US 101 —
Woodside Road Interchange Project.
During the 2012 call for projects, the US 101 — Woodside Road (State Route 84)
Interchange Project was awarded $8.91 million. Of those funds, $3.42 million was
allocated for the environmental phase of work and $5.49 million was programmed for
design work. The City provided a local match of $990,000 for those two phases.
During the 2015 call for projects, the US 101 — Woodside Road (State Route 84)
Interchange Project was awarded $2.65 million, which included $1.6 million for design,
$1.0 million for right of way support, and $0.05 million for TA support.
Additional information about the project is available on the City's website at
www. redwood citv.orq/101-84.
