¿A-/

ADDENDUM TO STAFF REPORT FOR STUDY SESSION No.3
Downtown Precise Plan
August 22, 2005

The consultant and staff need specific feedback and direction from Council on
the following issues:

1. Building heights (we have attached copies of the aerial perspectives from the 8/8/05
study session presentation showing the existing allowed heights, as well as options
showing the highest buildings at 8,12 and 15 stories)
2. The amount of housing made possible by the plan
3. Where should retail uses be mandated at ground level, where optional and
where prohibited? A related question raised at the August 8 study session
-- should banks be allowed at street level downtown?
4. Should the rail line stay at grade, be placed underground, or be run on a
raised structure?
5. Does Council want to establish an Arts District along Main Street?

When Michael Freedman and Hans Korve (traffic engineer) have concluded their
formal presentation, which should take no more than 40 minutes, Mr. Freedman
will use the preceding list of issues to focus the Council, Planning Commission
and ARC discussions.

'TO" _.
