ATTY/RESO.0109/CC RESO MEASURE A BIKE PEDESTRIAN <br />REV: 12-08-17PR <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />WHEREAS, the TA issued a Call for Projects for the Measure A Pedestrian and <br />Bicycle Program on November 6, 2017, and <br />WHEREAS, the TA requires a governing board resolution from the City in <br />support of the City’s application for $375,000 in San Mateo County Measure A <br />Pedestrian and Bicycle Program funds for PS&E and construction, and <br />WHEREAS, the TA requires a governing board resolution from the City <br />committing the City to the completion of the project, including the commitment of <br />matching funds in the amount of $125,000 needed for implementation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City <br />1. Directs staff to submit an application for TA Measure A Pedestrian and <br />Bicycle Program funds for $375,000 for the Project. <br />2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute a funding agreement with the San <br />Mateo County Transportation Authority to encumber any TA Measure A Pedestrian and <br />Bicycle Program funds awarded. <br />3. Commits $500,000 to the completion of PS&E and construction, including <br />the commitment of $125,000 of matching funds needed for implementation, if awarded <br />the requested TA Measure A Pedestrian and Bicycle Program funds. <br /> <br />* * * <br />6.3.A. - Page 5
