EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Scope of Work to be Performed by Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition for the <br />City of Redwood City (Redwood City 2020) August 2017 to June 2019 <br />Task: Redwood City School District Bicycle Safety Presentations and Bike <br />Rodeos <br />Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) will provide bicycle safety education and on - <br />bike skills training (bike rodeo) during school hours, after-school hours, and during <br />select community -wide events in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks. The education <br />presentations will include information regarding road rules, helmet fit, and safe <br />practices. The bike rodeos will provide on -bike skills training, giving students and <br />opportunity to ride while using hand signals, practice looking for traffic, and observe <br />traffic rules. <br />The City of Redwood Citv will: <br />1. Promote the bicycle safety education session and bike rodeo events <br />2. Provide adequate facilities to host activities provided by SVBC <br />SVBC will: <br />1. Provide staff and equipment required to conduct the bicycle safety education <br />and bike rodeos <br />Task Schedule <br />• Bicycle safety education will take place at school sites as well as community- <br />wide events targeted towards youth in Redwood City/North Fair Oaks <br />• Bike rodeos will take place at school sites, after school sites, and community- <br />wide events targeted towards youth in Redwood City/North Fair Oaks, with <br />SVBC staff arriving approximately 1 hour prior for setup <br />Task Pavment: <br />• Cost for bicycle safety education and bike rodeos will be $150.00 per hour, <br />with each bicycle safety session lasting one hour and bike rodeos lasting <br />between 4 and 7 hours.
