<br />11. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Course Control: Those portions of the "Celebration of the Arts" taking place <br />in the public right-of-way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that <br />area designated by the Chief of Police. The Permittee will provide personnel <br />to monitor and control the event. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property <br />damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, <br />commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds, or <br />additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or <br />death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the <br />activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have <br />arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in <br />connection therewith, in the amounts of $1 ,000,000 for each person and <br />$1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage <br />or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the <br />amount of $1 ,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form <br />satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten <br />(10) days prior to commencement of the event. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs <br />for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated <br />route, caused by or arising out of the conducting of the "Celebration of the <br />Arts" event permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons <br />participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon <br />public property, including the public right-of-way in connection with the <br />"Celebration of the Arts," shall be removed immediately following said event. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br />applicable rules, regulations, and laws in connection with the conducting of <br />said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in <br />addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the <br />"Celebration of the Arts" event or any associated activity. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and <br />save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br />commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, <br />damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature <br />whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to <br />perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of <br />said race, or any activities herein permitted. <br /> <br />Additional Matters: Additional or further matters not herein described or <br />contemplated in connection with the "Celebration of the Arts" event shall not <br />be effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police <br /> <br />2 <br />
