6. Dates and Times: The use of the property shall be between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on July 4, 1999. The event will occur between 1 :00 p.m. (or the conclusion of the Peninsula Celebration Association's Parade, whichever is later) and 4:00 p.m. All alcoholic beverage sales will stop at 5:00 p.m. each day. 7. Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1 ,000,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in a form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the event. 8. Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs of any damage to City owned property, caused by or arising out of the conducting of the activities permitted hereunder, or the acts or omissions to act of persons participating in said event. Tarps or other material shall be employed to protect sidewalk areas within booths selling food cooked on site. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right-of-way in connection with the activity, shall be removed immediately following said event. 9. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations, and laws in connection with the conducting of said event or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits, which are or may be required for conducting said event or any activity associated therewith. 10. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said event herein permitted. 2 13664
