Course Control: Those portions of the "Spanish Immersion School RunlWalk" taking place in the public right of way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area designated by the Chief of Police. The permittee will provide volunteers to monitor and control the course. 7. Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds, or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (1O) days prior to commencement of the event. 8. Damaqe to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or arising out of the conducting of the "Spanish Immersion School RunlWalk" permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right of way in connection with the "Spanish Immersion School Run/Walk" shall be removed immediately following said event. 9. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the "Spanish Immersion School RunlWalk" or any associated activity. 1O. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said race, or any activities herein permitted. 11. Additional Matters: All participants will obey traffic laws, and yield to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, where appropriate. Residents along the course route will be notified of the run and the course it will take at least one week prior to the event. Additional or further matters not herein described or contemplated in connection with the "Spanish Immersion School RunlWalk" shall not be effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police. 2
